Kathryn is currently a designer at Posture Interactive, a full-service advertising agency that focuses on website development and interactive design. A Bethlehem, PA native, she graduated summa cum laude from Marywood University with a BFA in Graphic Design in 2010 and has taught in the design department as an adjunct since 2013. She has also held design roles in the newspaper print industry, as well as designing for web applications and eventually taking on the Creative Director role at local tech start-up company Net Driven. Kathryn currently also serves on the board of directors for the recently formed NEPA Design Collective (NDC). She has spoken on design topics at multiple conferences, including TEDx Scranton, NEPA BlogCon, and the TecBridge Entrepreneurial Institute. She has also been involved in many local events such as Arts on the Square, First Friday Scranton shows, and performances at the Diva Theater. Pastimes include craft beer, cheese-making, digital doodling, and hanging with her dog and cat (Mars and Ares, respectively.)
Lindsay Barrasse is the co-owner/operator of Voyager Video. She is a versatile filmmaker, particularly talented as producer, director, and cinematographer. Lindsay has received awards in film and video production, created dozens commercials, and has worked on as well as produced both short and feature films. She is a member The Friends of The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC), United Nations Association of the United States of America, UNA Women, and supporter of New York Women In Film and Television (NYWIFT). She is also an active member of the Junior League of Scranton (JLS), is on the executive board of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and involves herself heavily in the arts within her community. Additionally, Lindsay teaches yoga and wellness.

Jamie Hannigan is a native of Northeast PA with a background in a variety of digital and physical arts. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Mass Communication and English. By day, she is Director of Digital Media at JVW Inc. in Scranton, where she focuses on graphic design, web development, and animation. Outside of the office, Jamie pursues her interests in photography, jewelry making (sometimes with the aid of a 3d printer), and paper art, with an emphasis on book sculptures.
Vice President Marketing
Chelsey Tupper has 10 years’ experience in the marketing communication industry. She has worked in both corporate and small business settings, which has given her the opportunity to manage a wide variety of clients. Chelsey joined Ideaworks Marketing in 2016. Since coming onboard, her role has significantly evolved and now includes leading the IDW content team, along with project and account management (including the prestigious Hollywood Bowl), content management and development, social media management, public relations, business development and proofreading and editing. Chelsey loves collaborating with her team members to bring projects to life that will exceed client expectations.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication, with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in advertising from Flagler College, located in St. Augustine, FL. In her spare time, Chelsey enjoys being with her husband Brian, and her family and friends. Some of her hobbies include working out, reading, volunteering with her church and in her community, trying new restaurants and wineries and taking day trips with her husband. Chelsey lives in Shavertown with her husband and their very playful kitty, Ella.

Erin Calpin is the Marketing Manager for Pocono Manor Resort & Spa. She is a graduate from Susquehanna University with a BAF in Graphic Design and a minor in Cultural Anthropology. In college and immediately after, Erin worked for Gallagher & Gallagher Inc. as a designer, photographer and event coordinator. Then on to positions in design and marketing at Cove Haven Entertainment Resorts (aka The Land of Love) and Split Rock Resort, where she found she loved EVERYTHING about the marketing world. Creating and telling an incredible story through marketing is what drives her every day. Working in design and marketing isn’t a job for Erin, it’s a way of life that she loves!
Vice President Finance
Donna Hansbury is President of Ideaworks Marketing, a strategic marketing and brand development agency which was founded in 1998. Prior to joining Ideaworks, Donna culminated an 18-year career in the printing industry serving as President of Unigraphic Color Corporation, a commercial printing company. Donna holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University. She also holds memberships in numerous professional organizations including the American Marketing Association and the American Advertising Federation.
Holly is a full-time marketer, mother of three, and lover of all things wild. She is a native NEPA resident with many ties to the local community, a background in marketing and communications, and a desire to become involved in the local marketing/advertising scene. Her inner beast thrives on creativity and innovation. Holly loves having the chance to give back to the community by lending her skills to an organization such as AAF NEPA, as well as the chance to work with other local creatives to help foster the growing entrepreneurial spirit in our region.
Ms. Longo is responsible for the management of the Chamber and its affiliates’ brands in the Greater Scranton community, including helping to generate positive media coverage for the chamber and its affiliates, helping to grow the Chamber’s online presence and helping to strategize, deploy and manage all facets of communications for the Chamber and its affiliates. She is also responsible for maintaining the Chamber’s social media presence, compiling and sending out the Chamber’s twice-weekly Eblasts and editing Momentum, the Chamber’s monthly news magazine.
Ms. Longo holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Italian and French from the University of Scranton, a Master of Arts degree in American History from the University of Scranton and a Master of Arts in Journalism from Regent University, as well as Women in Leadership certification from Cornell University. She is also the author of “The Italians of Northeastern Pennsylvania” and “Dunmore,” as well as “The Italians of Lackawanna County,” all published by Arcadia Publishing. An award-winning journalist, she previously served as the editor of the Abington Suburban and Villager newspapers and was a correspondent for Go Lackawanna.

Allen Lawlor has been a Graphic Designer/Art Director with Adams Outdoor Advertising for over 4 Years. Prior to moving to Northeastern PA, he was a Graphic Designer in Charleston SC where he worked with many local businesses such as the BB&T Charleston Wine and Food Festival, CreateSpace (Amazon), and Clap Boom marketing before settling in as the full-time graphic designer at the Adams Charleston office. While his work with Adams is primarily billboard related he has developed branding and advertising campaigns in both print and digital mediums. Originally hailing from the Hudson valley area of NY, he moved down to Charleston SC to obtain his BFA in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Charleston. Allen spends most of his free time reading, playing guitar, skateboarding, and spending time outdoors.
American Advertising Awards Director
Joey is a graphic designer at Posture Interactive. a Scranton based agency rooted in technology. Prior to joining the team at Posture, Joey spent a number of years focusing on his own design business, Joey Graphics. Outside of designing, Joey has a passion for teaching and is a rostered artist with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and adjunct faculty at Marywood University. He holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Marywood University and a certificate in web design from the University of Scranton.
Prior to completing her final semester at Marywood in the Fall of 2013, Erin had attended a networking event, Refresh Binghamton, in Binghamton, NY as it had been drilled into her head how important it was to network and meet other people in the surrounding communities to help jump-start her career. There is where she met owner of FreshySites Website Design, bonded over their love of Scranton, and eventually was hired just 6 months later – just before graduating with a BFA – Graphic Design and Art History. When first hired, the only web design experience she had was the one class she had taken at Marywood, but was very excited about the challenge, even though she admits, she swore to herself that “I would never work in web!” (Spoiler: she learned to love ALL aspects of web and has drastically taken that statement back).
After about two full years of working at FreshySites, she was promoted to Support and Project Work Manager and they (finally) opened up a Scranton, PA FreshySites location, where she focused on building up the Support team and working through more advanced problem solving/troubleshooting and growing our team. Today, four years later, Erin is honored and proud to be the Director of Support Services, where she oversees a team of 4 support staff members, manage all of their work, and focuses her energy on ensuring the scalability of the support processes/expectations and making sure that they all maintain ultra-high customer service with every/all interactions with our clients, new and old!
Social Media Director
Entrepreneur, brand developer and social media specialist, Ryan Hertel had launched three businesses by the time he reached the age of 23. Having been the co-owner of an entertainment booking/marketing management company for three and a half years, Ryan decided to simplify things and focus on another passion of his, DJing and producing music. But now, the 24-year-old is the owner/operator of a creative media company, Socialocca that emerged organically through self-taught skills and interests. Ryan is also the creative director of a social media growth service, Tree Frog, which he launched in 2017 alongside his business partner. Ryan travels back and forth between his companies and clients in New York City, Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania.
John is an award-winning writer/producer/director with years of experience working for national clients in New York City and throughout Pennsylvania. He’s an executive producer of the Netflix feature film, The Polka King (starring Jack Black, Jason Schwartzman and Jenny Slate), based on his documentary The Man Who Would Be Polka King.
John began his career after NYU film school as a screenwriter and development director for Palisades Pictures in NYC. From there, he joined Palisades’ parent advertising agency, the Gramercy Group (now Publicis Dialog). As a copywriter and video production coordinator, he won awards for his work on national accounts like Eli Lilly, Popular Mechanics, Michelin and Barnes & Noble.com.
Over the past several years, he served as copy director and multimedia producer for a number of Northeastern Pennsylvania advertising agencies. His print, radio and TV work has garnered numerous regional and national awards, including ADDYs, Caples and more.
In 2016, John joined VIA SG, a division of WVIA Public Media as a Digital Content Producer/Director for corporate work as well as short and feature documentaries.
John received his Master of Fine Arts degree from New York University’s Institute of Film and Television and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in Communication and Theatre.
Denise graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast/Cable. Denise is no stranger to Advertising, having spent over 20 years in the cable industry and currently employed by Comcast Spotlight (Advertising Sales) for 14 years. Prior to sales, Denise worked as a Production Manager for both Adelphia Communications and Cox Media. Passionate about the goals and needs of her clients Denise helps them market their business using multi-screen solutions designed to target customers with precision. She possess the qualities of being a leader on her sales team and is a two-time recipient of Comcast Spotlight’s prestigious Presidents Club Award. In her spare time, Denise enjoys music, yoga, gardening and photography, and is passionate about art and its possibilities.
Since founding BlackOut Design in 2003, Jack’s been working with clients to provide the tools, the techniques and the direction folks need to effectively market their organizations – both on and offline. By leveraging business data, his organization assesses and improves upon the performance of their clients’ marketing. The team he has assembled blends emerging technology with traditional media to produce effective and measurable marketing results. As a full-service ad agency with deep experience integrating online marketing and traditional concepts, we develop campaigns that span multiple medias, all from under one roof.
A native of Woodbridge, NJ, Jack has had the good fortune of working with some of the most reputable organizations in the region – and around the country – for the past decade. From local non-profit groups to global service leaders, Jack has used his own experiences as business owner and marketer to help clients find the right solution for their business needs. He holds graduate and under-graduate degrees from Marywood University and has two children, his daughter Lilly age 6 and his son Quin age 2.
Jim joined the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders front office staff as a Corporate Partnerships Executive in May of 2016. Jim is a recent graduate of Misericordia University where he obtained his BS in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing along with his MBA in Management. He also played 4 years of collegiate baseball as a member of the Misericordia Baseball team. His current position with the RailRiders combines both of his passions, baseball and marketing, and it allows him to work in a creative, entrepreneurial environment. He looks forward to being a part of the local advertising community and collaborating with the industry’s top professionals.
Over the years, Alex has been actively engaged within the small business community throughout the region to help drive economic growth and progress for many new and longstanding businesses. While overseeing project budgets and strict deadlines, he is no stranger to the hard work and dedication it takes to successfully run a company.
He started his company, Center City Print/119 Productions, in the heart of downtown Scranton six years ago and has spent those years not only experiencing his own company growth but also helping other businesses and non-profit organizations expand in both size and revenue.
He moved to the Scranton area in 2004 to attend Lackawanna College and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Media Studies and Media Technology. He began his career in international finance for Citigroup in New York City in 2007. In 2011, he returned to the area to pursue a career in media design and media management, which led to the creation of his company.
Alex is very passionate about the growth and cultural enrichment of Scranton and the surrounding areas. Having volunteered much of his time and resources, and contributing to various business networks, his passion and drive is evident.
He actively sits on the board for: The Anthony J. Rinaldi Foundation for Children with Cancer, Dress For Success Lackawanna, The Scranton Club, and the Everhart Museum Development Committee.
Cara was born and raised in Scranton, PA, but just recently moved back to the area from Harrisburg, where she was working at the ad agency Pavone. She interned at Pavone the summer of 2016, following graduating with a Marketing degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Cara was hired full-time in September 2016 as an Associate Brand Manager, and worked at Pavone until starting at Sweda Advertising this past January.
Jonathan is obsessed with filmmaking and a workaholic who produces several hundred videos and dozens of short films each year, from start to finish. He started Contention Media to bring extremely high quality photography and videography at an affordable price to Northeast Pennsylvania! His work has been on TV and featured on the news. Jonathan has won awards and has millions of views online. He has quickly gained a reputation for producing the absolute best aerial videos in Northeast Pennsylvania.
Barry Strauss is Executive VP of Business Development at Scranton Printing Co. As a local printer, he has worked with many people involved with the AAF and believes it as a greay way to give back to the city he works in while also meeting other professionals.
After 15 years of having feet in both the film and design world Gary Irwin launched Variant, a boutique design agency specializing in key art for independent film. Since breaking into the poster world, Gary’s designs have supported festival premieres at Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca and the LA Film Festival, while crafting key art for clients including Passion Pictures, XYZ Films, and Academy Award® nominee Josh Fox. With a passion for non-fiction storytelling, Irwin devotes the majority of his time supporting documentary projects, and has collaborated with HBO Documentaries, Music Box Films, Kino Lorber, Ro*co Films, and Cinedigm to assist in their releases.
