Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA – The American Advertising Federation, Northeast Pa., held its annual American Advertising Awards on February 20, 2015 where more than forty advertising professionals and students were presented with Gold and Silver ADDYs for their excellence in advertsing in the region.

Top awards from the evening, inluding “Best of Show” recipient Japhy Creative’s Internet Commercial category titled, “Alchemy Home Company: The Alchemy Gals.” and Marywood University Student, Nailea Meneses’s Poster, “Hunger in America.” were forwarded along with more than twenty Gold recipients to the second tier of the competion at District 2.

At the second tier, local winners compete against winners from fellow chapters of District 2 from Pennsylvania, New York, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. Judging was held on March 30th, 2015 in New York City at BBDO Worldwide.

Local students from Marywood University and The Pennsylvania College of Technology received recognition for two Gold and three Silver American Advertising Awards.

There are no professional District 2 winners to report.

Gold award winners will now move on to the national American Advertising Awards competition where they will vie against entries from across the country. National winners will be notified in May, and later recognized at AAF’s national conference, ADMERICA, on June 13, 2015 in Las Vegas, NV.
