The Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF)., has announced its 2019 Silver Medal Winner as Peter Steve of Ideaworks Marketing in Wyoming.
Before launching Ideaworks in 1998, Mr. Steve enjoyed a 17-year career in the management services industry, serving as vice president of marketing for Sodexo. In that role, he was responsible for the company’s overall marketing strategy and growth initiatives, including account-level marketing, corporate identity, sales support, national brand management and signature concept development.
He holds an undergraduate degree in marketing/communications from Wilkes University. In addition to being a certified Focus Group Moderator, Mr. Steve has authored a number of feature articles for industry trade publications, and is an accomplished speaker on branding and marketing strategy. He holds memberships in numerous professional organizations, including the American Marketing Association and the American Advertising Federation
“Each year we present this prestigious award to someone nominated by our local advertising community,” said Kathryn Bondi, president, AAF NEPA Chapter. “Peter Steve has truly gone above and beyond for the advertising industry and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to honor his lifetime of achievements this year.”
The AAF’s Silver Medal Award Program was established in 1959 (2009 by AAF NEPA) to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising, and who have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern. AAF NEPA annually bestows this honor upon one outstanding member of the local advertising community.
The Silver Medal Award will be presented to Mr. Steve during the 2019 American Advertising Awards on Friday, March 1, at the Westmoreland Club, 59 S. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre. A cocktail reception will begin at 6 p.m., and the award presentation dinner will begin at 7 p.m.
