The Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), has announced the call for entries for the 2019 American Advertising Awards, which is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 40,000 entries each year across the nation. The mission of this competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. Winners from this competition are then eligible to compete at a regional and then national level.

“We’re really excited to see this year’s top advertising work from students and professionals from around the region,” said Kathryn Bondi, president, AAF NEPA. “Our judges—hailing from major metro markets like Buffalo, Philly, Pittsburgh and Baltimore—are always especially impressed with the caliber of work from northeast Pennsylvania, and we have had several national student winners in years past as a testament to this great creative work.”

Applicants based in northeast Pennsylvania can enter online at or at one of two application drop-off parties. The drop-off parties will be held on Thursday, Jan. 24, beginning at 6 p.m. at both POSH @ The Scranton Club, 404 N. Washington Ave., Scranton, and at Sabatini’s, 1925, Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

“Our drop off events are the best way to get us your entries,” said Joey Zarcone, American Advertising Awards coordinator, AAF NEPA. “Our team is there to answer any questions, help you properly pack up your work and ensure your entries are ready for the competition.”
