President Jamie Hannigan and Vice President Kathryn Bondi recently represented the NEPA chapter of AAF at the District 2 Conference in D.C., October 21-22. They attended the final day of D.C.’s AdWeek 2016 and had the privilege of seeing inspiring speakers like Jeremy Peters, Correspondent for the New York Times, Jayanta Jenkins, Global Creative Director at Twitter, and Martha Boudreau, Chief Communications and Marketing officer for AARP. The next day they took part in the day-long District 2 meeting at the Newseum in D.C., which encompassed great discussions with leaders from all the AAF chapters in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, D.C., Delaware, and New Jersey.
They presented their current club numbers, which are significantly up from this time last year, as well as our recent successes with club events like 20 Minutes and a Beer with Denny Corby and our new “AdWars” trivia night. Jamie and Kathryn also presented the event summary for “CROPPED,” AAF NEPA’s new live advertising competition that will benefit a local nonprofit, and it was very well received.
