Jamie Hannigan is a native of Northeast PA with a background in a variety of digital and physical arts. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Mass Communication and English. By day, she is Director of Digital Media at JVW Inc. in Scranton, where she focuses on graphic design, web development, and animation. Outside of the office, Jamie pursues her interests in photography, jewelry making (sometimes with the aid of a 3d printer), and paper art, with an emphasis on book sculptures.
First Vice President
Kathryn recently moved on from her position as Creative Director at Net Driven to become a Digital Designer at Posture Interactive, a full-service advertising agency that focuses on website development. A Bethlehem, PA native, she graduated summa cum laude from Marywood University with a BFA in Graphic Design in 2010 and has taught in the design department as an adjunct. Kathryn was also a speaker at TEDxScranton 2014 and has continued with the TEDx team as the speech coach in 2016 for TEDxYouth. She has served on the board of directors for AAF NEPA since 2011, and recently was elected into the Vice President position and is excited to serve in this capacity. She also holds a special place in her heart for being involved in community-driven events such as NEPA Blogcon, Arts on the Square, First Friday Scranton, and performances at the Diva Theater.

Peter Steve is Owner and Managing Partner of Ideaworks Marketing, a strategic marketing and brand development agency which he founded in 1998. Prior to the start of Ideaworks, Peter culminated a 16-year career in the management services industry serving as Vice President of Marketing for Sodexo, one of the largest management organizations in the world. In that role, Peter was responsible for the company’s overall marketing strategy and growth initiatives including account-level marketing, corporate identity, sales support, national brand management, and signature concept development. Peter holds an undergraduate degree in Marketing/Communications from Wilkes University and has completed post-graduate course work in a number of specialized areas including brand strategy and market development at The Wharton School and George Washington University. In addition to being a certified Focus Group Moderator, Peter has authored a number of feature articles for industry trade publications and is an accomplished speaker on branding and marketing strategy. He holds memberships in numerous professional organizations including the American Marketing Association and the American Advertising Federation. Peter is the father of two sons, Peter III and Tyler, and resides in Dallas with his wife Judy.

Donna Hansbury is President of Ideaworks Marketing, a strategic marketing and brand development agency which was founded in 1998. Prior to joining Ideaworks, Donna culminated an 18-year career in the printing industry serving as President of Unigraphic Color Corporation, a commercial printing company. Donna holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University. She also holds memberships in numerous professional organizations including the American Marketing Association and the American Advertising Federation.

Ashley Pinto is the Business Developer for Otreva, a software development company in Scranton, PA. Prior to joining Otreva, Ashley worked for FOX56 in Plains, PA as an Account Executive in which she worked closely with local businesses to develop advertising campaigns with traditional and digital advertising. Ashley obtained a BS in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from Penn State University. Outside of work, Ashley likes to spend time with friends and family, cook, craft and go on hikes with her dogs.

Rachel is an assistant professor at Misericordia University, in the Department of Mass Communications and Design, where she teaches graphic design, web design, and related courses. She works with students on many service-learning projects, developing marketing pieces for area non-profits. Two of her students won Communicator Awards in 2017 for their website and promotional video for the organization Reaching Beyond Limits, a day program for adults with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities. Prior to Misericordia, she worked for over 20 years doing creative direction, design, and marketing writing for large and small organizations in Minneapolis, Chicago, Silicon Valley, Portugal, and here in NEPA. Rachel earned her M.A. in Strategic Communication Management from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN. She also holds a B.A. in theatre, an associate’s degree in Advertising Design, and a bartending certificate.

Lindsay Barrasse is the co-owner/operator of Voyager Video. She is a versatile filmmaker, particularly talented as producer, director, and cinematographer. Lindsay has received awards in film and video production, created dozens commercials, and has worked on as well as produced both short and feature films. She is a member The Friends of The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC), United Nations Association of the United States of America, UNA Women, and supporter of New York Women In Film and Television (NYWIFT). She is also an active member of the Junior League of Scranton (JLS), is on the executive board of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and involves herself heavily in the arts within her community. Additionally, Lindsay teaches yoga and wellness.

Krysty is the President and Lead Strategist of Tribal Media, a social media agency based out of Scranton, PA. She completed her undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University (PSU) with a major in business management and a concentration in marketing. She launched Tribal Media in 2010 and has successfully consulted dozens of companies on social marketing and online advertising strategy. Under Krysty’s leadership, Tribal Media has grown from its startup phase to consulting, and providing measurable results for, national and global brands.

Joey is a graphic designer at Posture Interactive. a Scranton based agency rooted in technology. Prior to joining the team at Posture, Joey spent a number of years focusing on his own design business, Joey Graphics. Outside of designing, Joey has a passion for teaching and is a rostered artist with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and adjunct faculty at Marywood University. He holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Marywood University and a certificate in web design from the University of Scranton.
Social Media Director
Cynthia graduated from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) in 2017 with a degree in Business Management, and a concentration in Marketing. For the past 5 years, she has been an account manager for Tribal Media creating content for local and national brands. In addition to managing social accounts, she also spearheads their customer service division. She has helped dozens of clients — large and small — grow their business through engaging, memorable content. When Cynthia isn’t attached to her phone, she enjoys going to music festivals with her friends and spending time with her bulldog, Stevie!
After a decade of working in Manhattan advertising, John Mikulak ended up in the Pennsylvania mountains, where he began splitting logs and splitting time between advertising work and producing/directing indie documentary projects. John began his career after film school at NYU as a screenwriter and development director for Palisades Pictures in NYC. From there, he joined Palisades’ parent advertising agency, The Gramercy Group. As a copywriter and video production coordinator, he won awards for his work national accounts such as Eli Lilly, Popular Mechanics, Michelin and Barnes & Noble.com. Over the past several years, John served as copy director and multimedia producer for Condron & Cosgrove, as well as a number of other Northeastern Pennsylvania advertising agencies. His print, radio and TV work has garnered numerous regional and national awards including ADDYs, Caples and more. John’s feature documentary, The Man Who Would Be Polka King, about criminal polka entertainer Jan Lewan – has been viewed by millions on TruTV, played national and international film festivals and secured a DVD and online release. A feature film based on the documentary begins production in summer 2016, starring Jack Black as the infamous polka king. In 2014, John’s cult film opus, The Deviants, gained an international DVD and online release via Troma Films. Currently, John is a multimedia producer/director at Via Studios Global, a division of WVIA public media. He’s also in production on a number of independent film/documentary projects. John received his Master of Fine Arts degree from New York University’s Institute of Film and Television and graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Theatre.

A native of Woodbridge, NJ, Jack has had the good fortune of working with some of the most reputable organizations in the region – and around the country – for the past decade. From local non-profit groups to global service leaders, Jack has used his own experiences as business owner and marketer to help clients find the right solution for their business needs. He holds graduate and under-graduate degrees from Marywood University and has two children, his daughter Lilly age 6 and his son Quin age 2.
Denise graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast/Cable. Denise is no stranger to Advertising, having spent 19 years in the cable industry and currently employed by Comcast Spotlight (Advertising Sales) for 12 years. Prior to sales, Denise worked as a Production Manager for both Adelphia Communications and Cox Media. Passionate about the goals and needs of her clients Denise helps them market their business using multi-screen solutions designed to target customers with precision. She possess the qualities of being a leader on her sales team and is a recipient of Comcast Spotlight’s prestigious Presidents Club Award. In her spare time, Denise enjoys music, yoga, and photography, and is passionate about art and its possibilities.

Erin Calpin is the Marketing Manager for Pocono Manor Resort & Spa. She is a graduate from Susquehanna University with a BAF in Graphic Design and a minor in Cultural Anthropology. In college and immediately after, Erin worked for Gallagher & Gallagher Inc. as a designer, photographer and event coordinator. Then on to positions in design and marketing at Cove Haven Entertainment Resorts (aka The Land of Love) and Split Rock Resort, where she found she loved EVERYTHING about the marketing world. Creating and telling an incredible story through marketing is what drives her every day. Working in design and marketing isn’t a job for Erin, it’s a way of life that she loves!
After 15 years of having feet in both the film and design world Gary Irwin launched Variant, a boutique design agency specializing in key art for independent film. Since breaking into the poster world, Gary’s designs have supported festival premieres at Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca and the LA Film Festival, while crafting key art for clients including Passion Pictures, XYZ Films, and Academy Award® nominee Josh Fox. With a passion for non-fiction storytelling, Irwin devotes the majority of his time supporting documentary projects, and has collaborated with HBO Documentaries, Music Box Films, Kino Lorber, Ro*co Films, and Cinedigm to assist in their releases.
Over the years, Alex has been actively engaged within the small business community throughout the region to help drive economic growth and progress for many new and longstanding businesses. While overseeing project budgets and strict deadlines, he is no stranger to the hard work and dedication it takes to successfully run a company.
He started his company, Center City Print/119 Productions, in the heart of downtown Scranton six years ago and has spent those years not only experiencing his own company growth but also helping other businesses and non-profit organizations expand in both size and revenue.
He moved to the Scranton area in 2004 to attend Lackawanna College and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Media Studies and Media Technology. He began his career in international finance for Citigroup in New York City in 2007. In 2011, he returned to the area to pursue a career in media design and media management, which led to the creation of his company.
Alex is very passionate about the growth and cultural enrichment of Scranton and the surrounding areas. Having volunteered much of his time and resources, and contributing to various business networks, his passion and drive is evident.
He actively sits on the board for: The Anthony J. Rinaldi Foundation for Children with Cancer, Dress For Success Lackawanna, The Scranton Club, and the Everhart Museum Development Committee.
Jim joined the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders front office staff as a Corporate Partnerships Executive in May of 2016. Jim is a recent graduate of Misericordia University where he obtained his BS in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing along with his MBA in Management. He also played 4 years of collegiate baseball as a member of the Misericordia Baseball team. His current position with the RailRiders combines both of his passions, baseball and marketing, and it allows him to work in a creative, entrepreneurial environment. He looks forward to being a part of the local advertising community and collaborating with the industry’s top professionals.
